About Solace Gloucestershire
Working together to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB)
Solace is a partnership service first setup between Gloucester City Council and Gloucestershire Constabulary in 2015 to deal with high-risk anti-social behaviour (ASB) in collaboration. Cheltenham Borough Council joined in 2018 and in 2022, the partnership expanded to include the remaining rural authorities, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Forest of Dean and Cotswold. The service is fully supported and endorsed by Gloucestershire’s Police and Crime Commissioners Office’.
The unique multi-agency structure of Solace reflects the shared responsibility and importance of tackling ASB together – Council Officers, Police Officers, and Police Community Support Officers (PCSO’s) work collaboratively, managed by two team leaders. The team benefits from a wider oversight of reports, information and links to partnership agencies and support services as well as integration internally within both the Police and local Councils.
Our priorities
- Responding to and preventing high risk ASB upon victim(s) or wider community by acting swiftly and proportionately
- Reducing repeat victims of ASB
- To offer support and advice to other agencies with urgent civil action
