A property in Cinderford, connected to Anti-Social Behaviour, has been closed for three months as a result of the courts issuing a full closure order.

The order was successfully secured for the property in the Elmdean area of Cinderford by officers from Solace and the Forest Neighbourhood Policing Team.

The court also heard how prior to seeking the full closure application a partial closure order had been sought and issued against the address this allowed the occupant to remain at the address and an opportunity to prevent the necessity for a full closure being sought, however despite this earlier intervention the impactful anti social behaviour continued and reports of criminal damage and shouting and visitors at all hours of the day continued to be received.

Magistrates granted the closure order at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on 20th October deeming it necessary to prevent the continuation of Anti-Social behaviour at the address.

The order prevents anyone except from emergency services and the landlord to be inside or on the property.

Failure to comply with the order is a criminal offence which could result in imprisonment for up to three months, a fine, or both.

The order will be in effect until 11:59pm on the 19th January 2027 and officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team will make regular checks on the property to ensure the closure order is being adhered to.
