A property in Cinderford, connected to Anti-Social Behaviour, has been closed as a result of the courts issuing a closure order.
The order was successfully secured for the property in the Denecroft area of Cinderford by officers from the Forest Neighbourhood Policing teams with the assistance and support of Solace.
The agencies presented the court with substantial evidence of persistent Anti-Social Behaviour including, shouting, swearing, and visitors causing a issues at all hours of the day and night that was having a significant impact on the community.
The court also heard how prior to the full closure application a partial closure order had been sought and issued on the 5th August 2026, however desppite this intervention the behaviour continued.
Magistrates granted the closure order at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on 6th October deeming it necessary to prevent the continuation of Anti-Social behaviour at the address.
The order prevents anyone except from emergency services and the landlord to be inside or on the property.
Failure to comply with the order is a criminal offence which could result in imprisonment for up to three months, a fine, or both.
The order will be in effect until 11:59pm on the 5th January 2027 and officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team will make regular checks on the property to ensure the closure order is being adhered to.
